Reply later, Set aside and Bubble up

Three marks for mail you cannot deal with right now, and what each one means.

Each mark means something different, and they are independent. A conversation can carry more than one at the same time.

Reply later

Reply later records an answer you owe. Choose Reply later on a conversation, and it joins your reply queue in Focus & Reply.

Set aside

Set aside keeps a conversation close for reference: a ticket, an address, details you will need again. Choose Set aside on a conversation. Find everything you set aside from the command palette, under Set aside. Remove the mark when you no longer need it.

Bubble up

Bubble up brings a conversation back at a time you choose. Choose Bubble up on an Inbox conversation and pick when you would like to see it again. When that time arrives, the conversation returns to your Inbox.

  • Bubble up works on conversations that have mail in the Inbox.
  • See what is scheduled from the command palette, under Bubble up.
  • Choose Cancel Bubble up to clear the schedule.

Marked mail is protected

Conversations marked Reply later, set aside, or waiting to bubble up are never removed by recycling, and they are kept on your device for offline reading.
