Appearance, language and notifications
Change how Kistrl looks, the language it speaks, and when it may alert you.
Appearance
Open Settings, then Appearance, to choose a palette, a mode and a font.
- Palette: Iris, Stillwater, Night Flight, Fern, Mono, Studio, Skyline or Orchid Mist.
- Mode: System, Light or Dark. System follows your device as its appearance changes.
- Font: keep the typography chosen by the palette, or pick another.
Your choice is saved to your account. Messages written in HTML keep their own colours.
Language
Open Settings, then Language. Kistrl is available in English and in French. Your language follows your account, so it applies wherever you sign in. Received emails are not translated.
Your time zone is part of your profile. Kistrl uses it to display and schedule calendar events.
Notifications
Open Settings, then Notifications, and choose Enable notifications for this account.
Notifications are chosen contact by contact, and only new Inbox mail from those contacts can alert you. Turn them on for a person from their contact page.
Your browser has to allow notifications as well. If they are blocked, change the permission in the address bar. Some browsers cannot receive notifications while Kistrl is closed, and Kistrl tells you when that is the case.
